I love people, and I am an Environmentalist. I want to change the world. I want to move people and inspire them to do more, be more, achieve more. I believe we are inherently good, and that with love, compassion, and understanding, there is nothing we can't accomplish. I love my friends and I try to support them in every way I can. I try to be everyone's personal cheerleader, because I believe that it's crucial to water the positive seeds of growth in others. Help one person, inspire one person, and you can inspire the world. Just like that.

I am a compulsive recycler; I try to buy local, organic, and don't eat meat and most animal products. I take advantage of every opportunity I have to shrink my ecological footprint. I try to stay away from shallow, materialistic people. And I try to gently steer the people I love in the direction of living more sustainable lives. Do I succeed? Most of the time, I believe I have an impact (even a small one counts)… and that means the world to me. If one person in the world recycles one piece of paper or one plastic bottle because of me, that is enough to make me smile. Sometimes I become overwhelmed at the seeming hopelessness of it all, but then I have to take a step back and realize that I am not superwoman. I can't do everything and I can't possibly, (in my lifetime) make up for all the plundering of all the other people in the world, or even in my city.
But I can be the change, and sometimes, that is more than enough.
